Each adventure is guided by a qualified professional and designed around your goals, skill level, and pace. Our approach blends practical outdoor skill development with mentoring and personal growth, creating a low-pressure environment where participants can build confidence, resilience, and a stronger connection to the natural world.

Our adventures are guided by the principles of the Australian Adventure Activity Standards (AAAS) and Good Practice Guides, ensuring every experience is thoughtfully planned, professionally delivered, and prioritises participant safety and wellbeing.

Participation Guidelines
These are general guidelines to help ensure every Ironbark adventure is safe, enjoyable, and suited to each participant. They reflect the framework we work within and are supported by our full Service Agreement and Participant Expectations Form, provided upon booking.

Physical Fitness & Health
Adventures are tailored to suit all skill and fitness levels. Activities can be adjusted to match each participant’s comfort, experience, and abilities. We simply ask that you share any relevant medical conditions (such as asthma, epilepsy, or joint issues) beforehand so we can plan safely and appropriately.

Emotional & Mental Readiness
Outdoor experiences can sometimes be physically or mentally challenging through weather, terrain, or teamwork. We support participants to navigate these challenges calmly and safely. If additional supports or adjustments are needed, we’ll discuss how to make the experience work best for the individual.

Communication & Understanding
Participants should be able to understand and follow basic safety instructions. Please let us know about any communication needs in advance so we can provide the right support.

With over 20 years of personal hiking experience, covering a range of trails from short walks to challenging mountain treks, these one-on-one mentoring sessions combine movement, skill-building, and adventure to help you build resilience, sharpen focus, and develop personal responsibility. You’ll explore bush trails and varied terrain at your own pace, whether you’re new to hiking or ready for longer, more demanding routes. It’s all about learning, improving, and enjoying every step of the journey together.
Note: Participants to bring their own sturdy boots or quality shoes and a backpack with essentials like water, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing, and sun protection. A full packing list will be provided before the start of the session.
Group Adventures
Small group adventures built around the outdoors, designed to encourage connection, build confidence, and make memories. These outdoor sessions bring people together through shared challenge and movement in nature. Whether it’s navigating a downhill trail, reeling in a fish, or tackling a climb, each experience encourages teamwork, communication, and mutual support. It’s about getting outside, learning new skills, and building strong peer relationships in a fun, active outdoor setting.

Custom outdoor adventures designed around your interests, whether it’s ball sports, skatepark days, geocaching, or outdoor workouts. Camping
An overnight outdoor experience packed with adventure, skill-building, and personal growth. Whether it’s camping while doing mountain biking trails, hiking through beautiful landscapes, cooking, fire making or camping under the stars, each experience is designed to combine physical activity with meaningful reflection and development. Along the way, you’ll build confidence, resilience, and practical skills, all while connecting deeply with nature and yourself.

Ironbark Adventure Mentoring offers four (4) flexible pricing options to suit different goals, commitments, and group sizes. Whether you’re looking for a once-off session or a regular adventure routine, our structure encourages consistency and rewards ongoing participation.
